2010 C63 AMG by Mercedes Benz
The new Mercedes Benz C63 is by far the most powerful C-Class ever developed
by the German automaker. All this superior high performance power is provided by
the 6.2L V8 delivering an astonishing 451-bhp and the 443-lb of torque. The displacement
is huge 6208cm cubed which and therefore extremely thirsty over 3000rpm. The new
C63 is most definitely targeted toward the American V8 muscle car enthusiast
and it will most definitely not disappoint. The C63 engine is by no means a simple
6.2L V8, rather this engine is a modern day high performance engine with a lighter
aluminum alloy block, dual overhead cams and 4 values per cylinder. So performance
is delivered in the most efficient means and just so much quicker than most of its
competitors. The C63 will get you from 0-60 in just 4.3 seconds and with an electronically
limited top speed of 155mph. An optional performance package is available which
will increase the top end to an astonishing 186mph. The C63 comes with
the AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters. There
are 3 settings: Normal mode, which acts as an everyday automatic with influence
from the paddle shifters. Sports mode, which acts similar to normal mode, but keeps
the revs at around 3000 rpm. Manual mode is full manual mode. The gears will only
change from the paddle shifters. Sadly there is no manual gearbox option.
With all this performance you need a supreme and powerful braking system. The C63
AMG comes with huge 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS and Brake assist system
(BAS). 6-piston caliper (front) and 4-piston caliper (rear). The C63 proves performance
of 0-60 is as important as 60-0.
From the exterior she (C63 AMG) is just gorgeous. Aggressive flowing lines
with 18inch light alloy wheels (optional 19 inch) and the AMG body styling kit.
The interior is pretty much the same as a regular C-Class. The C63 front
bucket electrically controlled seats offer a comfort and driving stability.
The C63 is the entry level of the AMG series. This mid-sized 4-door sedan
is now a muscle car, but not a lazy V8 muscle car. I am taking high performance
V8 muscle. This naturally aspirated engine will outperform most competitors fitted
with turbo-chargers or superchargers. Make no mistake; there is not much out there
that is faster than this.
MSRP Starting at: $57.350
